The book is full of bite-sized information and suggestions for every area in the house. It's richly illustrated, making it really appealing to read and very accessible. She covers things that are in every home (like junk drawers) to things that I probably could only aspire to (a converted armoire-style storage cabinet with custom-made drawers to act as a pantry)... I am a professional organizer by trade so it is hard to be impressed by organizing books anymore as I have read them all, but this one is fantastic! The layout is simple and easy to read. The tips and ideas are also simple and to the point. The photos are a perfect match to the concepts being discussed but don't seem impossible to achieve. Overall very well done.

I enjoy TV shows

I enjoy TV shows, blogs, magazines, and books on home decorating and organizing. I’m a tip junkie and always appreciate any type of organizing advice that I can apply to my life. I ordered this book because I’ve seen Geralin Thomas’s methodical systems of decluttering and organizing homes on TV and in magazines. The photos are excellent and the illustrations and lists are helpful. The book is written in a voice that is friendly, not preachy plus, it contains a lot of good advice; the maintenance, motivation, and tiny task sections were my favorite sections.

Having access to the book of Psalms is something that I take for granted in my work as a chaplain and counsellor. Within its pages one can find encouragement in times of trial, solace when facing tragedy and much more.

Generations of Christians and non-Christians have found meaning reading through its pages. There is scarcely a situation that we encounter in life that does not have a parallel within the Psalms. It is a book that is theologically rich, covering themes such as; who am I and why do I exist? Sin and Forgiveness, hope amongst despair, righteousness, trust, thanksgiving and more.

There are examples for us to follow on how to pray when seeking guidance, looking for refuge or seeking peace. It teaches us about the nature of God(Judge, Redeemer, Creator, Merciful carer)

A low cost product such as this is suitable to be left or handed out in places such as hospitals, doctor’s surgeries, on the street or any ware people with physical, spiritual or emotional needs come together.

Useful, but needed information hard to find

I am an experienced user of Fortran 77, who is returning to Fortran after several years absence. I qualified as language lawyer for Fortran 77 and could quote chapter and verse of the standard.
The new syntax for Fortran 90/95 is fairly straightforward. I need to no how the new elements of the language inter-relate. For example, when assumed shape arrays are used in a subroutine, an interface definition is required. I tried reading this book before attempting this and could not find the requirement. Even after learning this experimentally and from another book, I still can't locate the requirement in this book. I have had similar experiences with other syntactical inter-relationships.
This book contains a lot of information on Fortran 90/95, but I can't recommend it either as a tutorial or as an advanced reference. Unfortunately, there are no other good alternatives in print and this may be the best of the bunch.

Complete language reference, but not for rookies

This book covers the complete FORTRAN 95 language definition. The author apparentely intended it as clarifification of the ISO/J3 standard. And that's just what it is. This book even reproduces the complete official F95 grammar in one of its appendices. It has a more-than-complete index, which helps you find what you're looking for most of the time. Don't expect examples in this book; there aren't any.
If you're new to programming and you wish to learn FORTRAN, don't buy this book. You cannot learn the language from it, unless you already have a lot of programming experience in F77 or other languages. If you want to know all the capabilities and limitations of F95, or if you're going to write an F95 compiler, this book has got to be the number one book on your wishlist.

Fantastic artbook and visual companion for the games

It has always drawn me in with the stunningly beautiful environment art, setting and historical context. The idea to allow someone, us as gamers, to go back in time to visit iconic places in history is genius, even if the environments are not totally accurate.

Assassin's Creed: The Complete Visual History is a huge 320-page hardcover that covers the art and design aspect of the game. It includes all the main Assassin's Creed games up to Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

I did not buy any of the Assassin's Creed Encyclopedia (currently in its third edition) so I can't tell if there are going to be any overlaps. But I've many of the Assassin's Creed artbooks, for the first, third, IV: Black Flag and Unity. There's definitely duplication of artworks used in this book, in fact quite a lot, which is perhaps not unexpected. There are also many pieces of new art as well, especially since it covers the Assassin's Creed Syndicate which by the way also has its own dedicated artbook.

The artworks are awesome, even if you have seen them before. The book is huge and for many pieces of environment art that are printed full page, it feels immersive, as if you're standing there yourself. The background and environment art is what I like most about the game. Other artworks included would be the characters just to accompany the lengthy commentary that runs throughout the book.

For fans who want to learn more about the art and design, there's plenty to read. About one third of the book is text. The insightful commentary talks about the historic context and how the characters, environments and stories are created around that. There's one chapter devoted to the First Civilisation and how it's the overarching element all the games.

There's also one chapter on the side games, the Chronicle DLC series. It includes content for China, India, Russia. And lastly there's a chapter for the other merchandise and marketing materials, such as the cover art for the games, toys and other collectibles. Strangely, the other artbooks and the Encyclopedias are not mentioned. Novels are briefly mentioned in one line. I'm sure there are many more merchandise that are not included, such as the limited edition game releases and their goodies. I would love to see those.

By the way, there appears to be two publishers for this book. Mine's from Insight Editions. The other publisher is Titan Books who has somehow listed the book has having 264 pages which I'm pretty sure is not correct. This is not the first time it has happened.

Overall, this is a fantastic artbook and visual companion for the games.

Highly recommended to all fans of the game and art.

Great art and history (real and in-game). Surprisingly high print & binding quality.

First off, this is a good quality book. Solid hardcover, thick glossy pages, binding looks like it could stand up to leaving the book wide open w/o splitting (though I haven't tested that). Should stand up to years of normal use without much wear and tear. They probably could have gotten away with much cheaper materials, but they didn't, and I appreciate that.

Because of the quality of the prints, the artwork looks great. Lots of detailed full-page images.

Also really enjoyed the depth & insight the text adds. Mr. Miller appears to have done his homework and then some. Of course, you'd expect he'd know the games well. I believe he's been writing about games professionally for over a decade now, and was the reviewer for many of the Assassin's Creed games. In any case it's great reading both the fictional history of the game series and the real world history they draw from in the same text.

Need a TL;DR? I assume you like the games, otherwise I doubt you'd be here. In that case, you'll enjoy what this book has to offer, and I'm pretty sure you'll feel that the quality and content are worth what you pay for it.

An absolute treasure!

What an amazingly beautiful book! I only just received it and haven't even looked through the entire tomb, yet, but I am already incredibly happy I ordered it. The artwork is printed in excellent quality, with many pieces covering entire pages (which is quite large, considering the size of the book). Colors come to life. The informative text is written in an intelligent style, covering many interesting aspects of the Assassin's Creed timeline.
The book is so engrossing, I didn't even do my regular routine of leafing through and reading later. I went straight to diving head-first into each page.
Binding and paper are of high quality and feel nicely heavy in hand.
A treasure for every Assassins fan!
