Fantastic Book!!! And great seller!

This book was amazing, very pragmatic and such an easy read.

My financial outlook changed more and more as I read the book, and now I'm excited about the possibilities of creating wealth. This is quite a miracle since money has always been a topic of stress and worry in my life, but this book gives easy-to-apply ideas, tools and concepts. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to turn their mindset from one of poverty to abundance!

This book truly offers a different perspective on creating wealth, and is no way predicated on having wealth to create wealth. One can start to change their financial situation no matter what. This book helped to dissipate all the places I had made creating wealth difficult, or unattainable and I can't recommend it enough!

Patristic Universalism is the belief that God�desires�all men to be saved and�achieves�this desire through His Son Jesus Christ. While some forms of universalism have sprung up that teach there is no hell and that all truth is relative, this is not the universalism I'm defending. The form of universalism advocated in this book is that which was taught by some of the earliest and greatest church Fathers such as Clement of Alexandria, Origen, and Gregory of Nyssa. It adheres to all the traditional teachings with only a few areas of deviationtion such as the doctrine of post mortem evangelism and the doctrine of hell.

Think Universalism is heretical? Think again

In this accessible, thorough, passionately argued book, David Burnfield offers readers an alternative to the "two bad choices" of Arminianism and Calvinism. His solution is what he calls "Patristic Universalism," the belief that all people will ultimately be reconciled to God. David refers to his brand of Universalism as "Patristic," because it is rooted in the thinking of patristic church fathers, such as Clement of Alexandria, Origen and others who held out hope for the salvation of all. But it is also a deeply biblical view, which David takes pains to establish throughout. Not only that, his view also makes logical sense when argued from first principles. So those who have dismissed Universalism as un-biblical or even un-Christian should sit up and take notice. The same goes for those who have rejected Christianity due to their abhorrence at the thought of eternal hell or a God who would allow the actions of "frail, feeble, sin-stained humans" to trump his will. Like so many other books on Universalism that have emerged over the last few years, "Patristic Universalism" proves that you can be thorough biblical, thoroughly Christian and yet still hold out hope that all people will ultimately be reconciled to God. And that's good news. The best possible news! I highly recommend you read this book.

Crystal clear

This is an extraordinary book. The plan of the book is impeccable. At the forefront, the author explains clearly that exegesis always involves eisegesis. In other words, how one interprets the text depends on one's presuppositions. He then demonstrates, painfully obviously, that universalism makes more sense than exclusivism. Next, he goes through exhaustively the relevant scriptural passages to support the concepts of: "All" means "All", postmortem mercy, and Hell as a remediative process. Finally he answers all sorts of objections to a universalist hope. Quotes from some Early Church Fathers (viz. Clement of Alexandria, Origen, and Gregory of Nyssa) are used to support these views. Interspersed with passionate and inspirational arguments, the book never fails to uplift one's torpor. Totally recommended. A good companion to The Inescapable Love of God. Five stars.

This author presents historical and biblical evidence for universalism. His case is for the restoration of all things that includes forgiveness of all, judgment of all, and ultimate repentance of all, so that every knee shall willingly bow before a Lord and Savior of all mankind--a Shepherd who faithfully recovers every lost sheep and lamb. This book is clear and presents a solid case for universalism in simple language with scriptural support and many supporting resources. It identifies universalism as the original predominate view of the early church and presents it as a valid contender alongside what was at first minority views of damnation and annihilation of unbelievers, only later becoming characteristic of Western Christendom. As presented by this author, Patristic Universalism is an orthodox, viable, and realistic option for believers that has the potential to change the heart and face of Christianity to one that identifies with love issuing from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith.
